247 - In a phone call, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed key issues on the international agenda with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation covered the war in Gaza, the conflict in Ukraine, and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

According to Prensa Latina, which cited information from the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate, Erdogan reaffirmed Ankara's commitment to efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid for the civilian population, which has been heavily affected by the escalation of the fighting.

Mediation efforts and active diplomacy

In the same call, the Turkish leader highlighted the importance of reactivating diplomatic channels aimed at a peaceful resolution to the war between Russia and Ukraine. Erdogan stressed that any solution must be anchored in principles of justice and regional stability, emphasizing that Turkey will continue to play an active role in the search for negotiated solutions.
