Dress rehearsal for the royal wedding

A thousand soldiers, in full dress uniform, underwent timed training to ensure nothing goes wrong at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

247 (with International Agencies) - Everything is ready for the royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton – even the dress rehearsal has already taken place. In London, in the early hours of Wednesday the 27th, about a thousand soldiers, in full dress uniform, participated in the rehearsals, which also involved the bride and groom. The entire route between Westminster Abbey, where the wedding will take place on Friday the 29th, and Buckingham Palace, where they will receive more than 1,1 guests, was covered in detail, with horses, carriages and all the pomp planned for the wedding day.

New estimates regarding the economic benefits the royal wedding will generate for London are being released. It is believed that the English capital will receive 600 tourists interested, especially, in witnessing scenes from the wedding. This extra influx could contribute to an additional £50 million in revenue for the city. Despite the financial optimism, a business entity has estimated that the ceremony could cause approximately €5,8 billion in losses to the English economy due to the public holidays decreed around the wedding. Between April 22nd and May 2nd, the English will have only three working days.
