Sputnik - Russia has decided to end Deutsche Welle's broadcasts in response to Germany's ban on RT DE.

Moscow will also draw up a list of officials involved in blocking the transmission of the RT DE channel, who will be barred from entering Russia, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced.

"The correspondent office of the German television and radio company, Deutsche Welle, in the Russian Federation has been closed," the chancellery said, adding that all employees of the Russian office will lose their accreditation.

Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, pointed out that to date the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) has remained silent on Germany's decision to ban RT DE broadcasts.

Previously, the German media regulator Berlin-Brandenburg (MABB) officially banned the RT DE channel from broadcasting in Germany, claiming that the broadcast organizers did not have the necessary authorization.

Earlier this Thursday (3), Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov labeled the ban on the Russian channel RT DE as a violation of freedom of expression.
