In a provocation aimed at Russia, Ukraine conducts military exercises near Crimea.
The Ukrainian Navy conducted exercises in the Kherson region, near the border with the Crimean Peninsula, the Ukrainian Navy said in a message posted on Facebook on Wednesday (27).

The artillerymen trained to eliminate targets in "temporarily occupied" populated areas. Special attention was paid to artillery action in low visibility conditions and at night, the command stated.
On June 19, advisor to the Minister of Affairs for the Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Aleksandr Levchenko, said that if Russia does not allow Ukraine to regain control of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, Kyiv will resort to "Plan B" and turn to Crimea.
Crimea was reintegrated into Russian territory in March 2014 following the results of a referendum in which the vast majority of the population voted in favor of joining Russia. Kyiv and Western countries refused to recognize the results of the plebiscite. Moscow emphasizes that the reintegration procedure of the region complied with the norms of international law.
