247, with Prensa Latina - The head of state and president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro, called on Sunday (29) the party militants, who are in congress, to promote actions to defend the history of the Bolivarian Revolution.
In a message on Twitter, the president indicated that the PSUV should create a working group to promote knowledge of the historical values of the revolutionary process among the Venezuelan people.
'The 4th PSUV Congress must create, within the structure, a permanent team so that the people know, internalize and transform into popular passion the defense of our historical banners,' wrote the president.
The country's main political organization held the 4th PSUV Congress on Saturday (28), with the participation of 670 delegates from across the country and an agenda focused on discussing actions and measures aimed at transforming the national economy.
During the opening day of the event, the socialist leader Julio León Heredia indicated that the PSUV needs a deep awareness and organization to meet the demands of the Venezuelan people amid threats to the country's stability.
One of the fundamental tasks that the party has is to create this profound awareness that must be aligned with the thinking and feeling of the population, León indicated, according to a press release published on the PASUV website.
The PSUV must also work on developing strategies to strengthen the unity of the people and popular power as a principle of participatory and protagonistic democracy.
