A priest was killed and two attackers died in the attack. The information was released by the Amaq news agency – considered the official representation of the terrorist group in the media. According to the Islamic State, the attack was carried out by "two soldiers" of the cause.

French President François Hollande condemned the attack this morning. He had previously attributed the action to the Islamic State.
