According to the center, the Israeli Air Force carried out three attacks against Syrian territory – from the west, south, and southwest. The attack resulted in four deaths and six injuries among Syrian soldiers.
"Four Syrian soldiers died, six were wounded. The attack partially damaged the infrastructure of Damascus International Airport," reads the statement from the Russian National Defense Control Center.
On Sunday night, the Israel Defense Forces carried out an attack against Syrian air defense batteries.
Israel stated that it had attacked military targets belonging to Iran's Al-Quds militia in Syrian territory. "We have begun attacking targets of Iran's Al-Quds in Syrian territory. We warned the Syrian Armed Forces not to attempt to cause harm to Israeli forces or territory," reads the Israeli military statement.
Also on Sunday, Syrian air defense forces repelled another Israeli air strike against the south of the country. "Our air defense repelled an Israeli air strike in the southern region. All missiles were intercepted, none of them hit the target," a Syrian military source told Syrian state television.
