247, with Russia Today - A man donned a replica of the Colombian presidential sash and declared that, just as Guaidó did in Venezuela, he too was proclaiming himself interim president of Colombia in protest against the US-backed coup.

Alejandro Muñoz, a social researcher, artist, and writer, appeared in a square in Bogotá being sworn in as the interim president of Colombia.

Muños protested against the Lima Group meeting in Bogotá on Monday (25), attended by US Vice President Mike Pence and Venezuelan opposition leader, the self-proclaimed "interim president", Juan Guaidó.

Encouraged by his activist friends, Muñoz wasted no time in assuming his new "role," shaking hands with a police officer and acting like a president, issuing orders.

His first decree, Muñoz said, would be "to declare peace."

"Yes to peace, no to war, no more drug trafficking, no more neoliberalism," he shouted from his makeshift platform with a Colombian tricolor flag waving behind him.

As part of his peace promotion agenda, Muñoz said he would arrange for the U.S. government to "remove its military bases from this country."
