Beijing, February 21 (Prensa Latina) - China today reiterated its call on the international community to help find a negotiated solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict and insisted that the parties involved should refrain from further aggravating the situation.

According to Foreign Minister Qin Gang, Beijing wants to support efforts to end the tensions, as it fears they will escalate and spiral out of control.

He reinforced the commitment to a political resolution of the crisis, to examine the concerns of all actors at the negotiating table, and not to "add fuel to the fire."

Qin also rejected accusations about allegedly supplying weapons to Russia and speeches suggesting a scenario for Taiwan similar to that of Ukraine.

In addition to the chancellor's statements, his office indicated in an article on Tuesday that the Chinese initiative for global security It promotes the eradication of the root causes of international conflicts and calls for collaborative work to ensure stability, development, and lasting peace on the planet.

Similarly, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the United States and its Western allies for continuing to deliver war equipment to Ukraine, as this only prolongs the conflict while they financially benefit from the arms trade.

He defended relations between China and Russia, noting that they are based on non-confrontation and do not seek to establish alliances against third parties.
