247 - Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said in a press conference that American politicians should stop shifting blame. The statement came when the spokesman was asked to comment on a letter posted on Twitter by US President Donald Trump.

In a letter to the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, a copy of which was published by Trump on Twitter on Monday, the US president threatened to permanently cut funding to the WHO if the organization does not commit to what he called "substantial improvements within the next 30 days."

"China has chronologically exposed our work on preventing and controlling the novel coronavirus disease many times," Zhao said, adding that the WHO has also clarified the errors in the US accusation, according to reports. Xinhua.
