China denies holding negotiations with Europe regarding the deployment of troops to Ukraine.
China hopes all parties involved will reach a just peace agreement, says Foreign Ministry spokesperson.
Latin Press - China denied on Monday (24) that it is in negotiations with the European Union (EU) about the possible sending of troops to Ukraine to maintain peace after the end of the conflict.
"The reports are completely false," said Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun at a press conference.
The diplomat added that Beijing's position on the crisis in Ukraine is "coherent and clear," meaning it aligns with what the Asian giant has been advocating for the past three years.
China hopes that all parties involved will reach a just, lasting and binding peace agreement, accepted by all relevant stakeholders.
Beijing's position is based on the "four duties" presented by President Xi Jinping.
According to this position, all parties must respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, uphold the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, address the legitimate security concerns of each nation, and support efforts that contribute to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
On the other hand, the Asian giant recently expressed its willingness to support the future reconstruction of Ukraine and emphasized that it has provided four batches of humanitarian aid to the country since the beginning of the conflict.
According to Li Ming, spokesperson for the China Agency for International Development Cooperation, the Asian giant "will continue to be a positive force for global peace and stability, as well as a defender of global progress and justice."
In this regard, he expressed Beijing's willingness to offer assistance within its capabilities, respecting the wishes of the parties involved.
