Sputnik - China has urged the US to clarify its activities related to biological weapons abroad, declared Zhao Lijian, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).

"We again urge the Americans to fully clarify their biological militarization activities at home and abroad," he stated.

Furthermore, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the US policy of expanding NATO in Eastern Europe played a significant role in the start of the Ukrainian crisis.

"The US, with its policies of expanding NATO into Eastern Europe, has added fuel to the fire in the Ukrainian crisis," declared Zhao Lijian.

Since the beginning of Russia's special operation in Ukraine, Kiev has been trying to destroy all traces of the biological agents program in the country, according to the Russian Chemical, Biological and Radiation Defense Forces.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Health has set a goal, starting on February 24, to completely destroy all biological agents in laboratories, declared on Monday (7) Igor Kirillov, director of the Russian Chemical, Biological and Radiation Defense Forces.

"The documents analyzed confirm that the Ukrainian Ministry of Health set a goal, starting on February 24th, to completely destroy all biological agents located in laboratories," Kirillov explained.

He added that the Russian Chemical, Biological and Radiation Defense Forces administration is constantly analyzing the biological situation in Ukraine, and there is evidence of the destruction of all biological programs carried out so far.

"At the same time, an analysis of the instructions given to laboratory staff demonstrates that the procedure for disposing of the collections aims at their irretrievable destruction," the senior official stressed.
