China Radio International Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuh gave an interview to the China Media Group during his visit to the country last year, in which he emphasized that the two neighboring countries are working together to realize their development aspirations.
Khurelsuh said he met Chinese leader Xi Jinping in 2011 and has always maintained close exchanges with him on bilateral relations and cooperation. During his visit to Beijing, the two leaders exchanged views on improving the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia, expanding cooperation in the economy and trade, promoting modernization in the new era, deepening strategic mutual trust, and other issues.
Furthermore, the two leaders reached agreements on promoting the construction of an Asian road network for cross-border transport through Mongolia, China, and Russia, energy cooperation, connecting railways between Mongolia and China, and improving port capacity.
Khurelsuh said he hopes to learn from China's successful experience in green development. Mongolia and China are working together to combat desertification and other problems.
The President of Mongolia expressed support for the initiatives proposed by Xi Jinping on global development and global security, which fully satisfy the common desire of the peoples of all countries.
