North Korean foreign minister begins visit to Russia.

Relations between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea are becoming increasingly closer.

TASS - The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Choe Son Hui, will make an official visit to Russia starting this Monday (15) at the invitation of the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported.

"From January 15 to 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Choe Son Hui, will pay an official visit to Russia at the invitation of the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov," the statement said.

Lavrov visited Pyongyang in October 2023. The visit was scheduled to mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and North Korea. The top Russian diplomat was received by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
