Chinese Foreign Ministry presents highlights from Xi Jinping's speech at the 7th CELAC Summit
China wants to work together with CELAC to elevate bilateral relations to a new level.
China Radio International Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning presented on Monday (30) President Xi Jinping's participation in the 7th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), which was held on January 25.
Mao Ning stated that the Chinese president delivered a speech via videoconference during the summit, at the invitation of Alberto Fernández, the president of Argentina, who held the rotating presidency of CELAC. According to the Chinese spokesperson, information about the speech has already been released on the country's foreign ministry website.
The Chinese diplomat emphasized that Xi Jinping's speech represents the importance China places on promoting bilateral relations with CELAC, and that the Chinese action is appreciated by regional countries.
Mao Ning added that, based on the Chinese president's speech, China wants to work together with CELAC to elevate bilateral relations to a new level, based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness, and promoting the well-being of the people.
