The Ukrainian president also said that the West should be more involved in negotiations to end the war.

Reuters - Around 1.300 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed since the start of the Russian invasion, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Saturday.

Speaking at a press conference, Zelensky said that the Ukrainian and Russian negotiating teams had begun discussing concrete topics instead of exchanging ultimatums.

He said the West should be more involved in negotiations to end the war, but welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's efforts to act as a mediator between Ukraine and Russia, and said he had suggested to Bennett that negotiations be held in Jerusalem.
