Poster shows what Gaddafi would look like with a shaved head.

Published in a Tropoli newspaper, the image reveals the possible appearance of the lip-lipped dictator if he had shaved his head, with the caption "wanted dead or alive".

247 – The moment of the capture of Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has been eagerly awaited by many. While this hasn't happened yet, his image is imagined (and produced) by the press, speculating on what the leader, who has been in power in the Arab country for 42 years, might look like. A Tripoli newspaper published a poster showing Gaddafi with the words "wanted dead or alive". The photo shows his possible appearance if he had shaved his head.

On Thursday morning, October 1st, Gaddafi sent a message to a television program on the Al Arabiya channel, asking his allies to "liberate Libya." The dictator remains in an unknown location, but promises to resist the rebels who have taken control of Tripoli and are trying to overthrow his government. "There will be a long war and Libya will be engulfed in flames," the dictator said, according to information released by the channel.

In response to statements made by Gaddafi, the vice-president of the National Transitional Council (NTC), the political body of the Libyan rebellion, Abdel Hafiz Ghoga, declared that the dictator may be hiding in Bani Walid, a region located southeast of Tripoli.
