In the statement, the Brazilian government praises the "admirable, comprehensive and inclusive democratic transition process" carried out in Tunisia and notes that the country will host the World Social Forum next weekend, with the participation of a large Brazilian delegation.

The attack on the Bardo Museum was carried out, according to Tunisian authorities, by two armed men. Police say the murdered tourists were of Polish, Italian, German, and Spanish nationality.
