"I have no doubt that Russia is 100% right on the merits," said the journalist.
247 - In an interview with TV 247, journalist Breno Altman stated that if Brazil were governed by a left-wing government, the country's delegation to the UN would likely have adopted a diplomatic position closer to China regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict. One of Russia's stated reasons for its military action in Ukraine is the "denazification" of Ukraine to protect the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.
"If Brazil were governed by a left-wing government, it would have to take China's position: supporting Russia on the merits and seeking a diplomatic solution," he said.

"Russia's military action is not multinational. It is unilateral. On the merits, it is evident that any resolution supported by the Brazilian government must side with Russia. I have no doubt that Russia is 100% right on the merits," he said.
"Now, Russia's military action is the action of one sovereign state against another sovereign state. Speaking of state positions, the solution should always be to seek a peaceful and diplomatic resolution," he added.
