China Radio International The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) convened a meeting today (28) to analyze the current economic situation and work. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Xi Jinping, chaired the meeting.
It was noted that, since the beginning of the current year, under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, the relevant departments have successfully balanced national and international situations, epidemic control, and socio-economic development, as well as development and security. Therefore, economic growth has exceeded expectations and market demand has also recovered.
At the same time, it was indicated that the national economy is still facing several challenges, such as a lack of domestic driving force, insufficient demand, and continued difficulty in economic restructuring.
The meeting highlighted the importance of establishing a modern industrial system based on the real economy, recovering and increasing demand, creating a fair competitive environment, deepening reform and expanding openness, preventing financial risks, and improving the well-being of the people.
