Biden compares Trump's comments to Nazism. Former president is furious.
Biden cited Trump's reference to his opponents as 'vermin'.
247 - US President Joe Biden drew a comparison between comments made by former President Donald Trump, his potential rival in this year's presidential election, and Nazi officials in Germany during the Third Reich. Biden was addressing Trump's actions and their connection to the Trumpian attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, as well as threats to US democracy.
In a speech in Pennsylvania on Friday (5), Biden cited that Trump refers to his opponents as 'vermin' and talks about 'America's blood being poisoned', expressions that, according to him, are similar to the language used in Nazi Germany.
In response, Trump, at an event in Iowa, rejected comparisons to German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, calling them unjustified and criticizing Biden for promoting a campaign "based on fear."
“Biden’s record is an uninterrupted series of weakness, incompetence, corruption, and failure… That’s why Crooked Joe is organizing a pathetic and frightening campaign event today,” Trump said. (With information from Sputnik).
