US authorities say they have killed "important" Houthi leaders in attacks in Yemen.
The information was released by White House national security advisor Mike Waltz.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. military campaign of strikes in Yemen, launched just over a week ago, has already eliminated key Houthi leaders, including the group's top missile expert, White House national security advisor Mike Waltz said on Sunday.
So far, the US Armed Forces have released few details about the operations, launched after the Houthis threatened to renew their attacks on Red Sea shipping because of the war in Gaza.
"We hit their headquarters, we hit communications centers, weapons factories, and even some of their overwater drone production facilities," Waltz told CBS News.
Waltz did not identify the missile expert killed and did not give details about the other leaders who were killed.
