247, with Prensa Latina - The president of the Episcopal Conference, Leonardo Brenes, expressed his sorrow for the events and condemned the violence that persists in the country, as he began the plenary session of the dialogue table between the government and sectors of the opposition.

Likewise, Chancellor Denis Moncada condemned the terrorist acts perpetrated by criminal groups, while reading a report from the National Police and the General Directorate of the Fire Department.

Moncada lamented that even after the agreements made on Friday (15) on the cessation of violence, the murder of families and actions that endanger citizens continue.

'The demand of the entire population is to put an end to the violence, to return to the paths of tranquility and peaceful coexistence,' urged the Nicaraguan foreign minister.

For his part, Luis Andino, leader of the National Union of Students of Nicaragua, also condemned the murder of residents by hooded individuals with firearms, who attacked citizens and burned them in the middle of the street.

'It's incredible that these criminals, financed and promoted by the right wing, are setting up scenarios, assassinating people, and trying to blame the government. We condemn these hate crimes that aim to sabotage peace and dialogue,' Andino reaffirmed, demanding justice.

According to a police statement, the victims were carrying out cleaning and obstacle removal work on the street and removing barricades, along with municipal workers and law enforcement officers.

The fire broke out at 6:20 a.m. local time in a three-story building that also houses a mattress factory containing highly flammable materials, in the Karl Marx neighborhood.

Residents of the neighborhood say that hooded delinquents threw Molotov cocktails at the building.

Firefighters extinguished the flames, but their work was hampered by groups of delinquents.

A technical team comprised of investigators and forensic experts is conducting inquiries to clarify the facts.
