247 - The American newspaper New York Daily News obtained testimony from several witnesses who attest that Omar Mateen, who opened fire killing 49 people and injuring 53 others at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando (USA), frequented the place for the past three years, in addition to using gay dating apps.

"I saw him a few times at Pulse, other people I spoke to, including a former security guard, saw this guy at Pulse many times before," said Chris Callen, who used to perform at the venue. According to him, on one occasion Mateen allegedly pulled a knife on a friend after hearing a religious joke. Despite this, Callen said that Mateen was "a nice guy... Maybe he had become radicalized or hated who he was."

Another Pulse regular, Kevin West, told the Washington Post that he had met Mateen through a dating app called Jack'd. "I never forget a face," he said.
