Attacks between Israel and the Gaza Strip continue.

247 with international agencies – The wave of violence continues in the Gaza Strip this Friday morning. A bomb exploded on the border with Egypt, causing an undetermined number of deaths and injuries.

Israeli aviation launched four attacks in the region during the early hours of the morning, leaving one dead and fifteen wounded. Earlier, three coordinated actions against a passenger bus and several cars in southern Israel killed at least six people. An Israeli helicopter also killed a soldier and two Egyptian guards on Thursday night while firing on Palestinian militants fleeing across the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak accused the Islamist group Hamas, which controls Gaza, of being behind the coordinated attacks and stated that Israel would retaliate. Hamas, in turn, denied any role in the actions.
