247 - More than 100 children have been killed in Gaza by Israeli attacks since the "ceasefire" at the beginning of October 2025. This equates to approximately one girl or boy killed per day, according to UNICEF data released on Tuesday (13).
“Since the ceasefire, UNICEF has recorded reports of at least 60 boys and 40 girls killed in the Gaza Strip. The number of 100 reflects only incidents where there were sufficient details for recording, therefore the true total of Palestinian children killed is likely higher. Hundreds of children were injured,” the report details.
Despite Israel and the Palestinian movement Hamas having signed a ceasefire months ago, destruction in Gaza continues. Israel destroyed more than 2.500 buildings in the Palestinian enclave after pledging to cease hostilities, according to an analysis by the New York Times, published on Monday (12).
Mediated by Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, and the United States, an ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Hamas officially came into effect on October 10, 2025, after two years of genocide. However, Israel continues to bomb Gaza.
