From Sputnik – A Siberian tiger attacked visitors at Badaling National Park, near Beijing. One woman died and another was injured, according to CCTV News.
The incident occurred on Saturday (23) when the women violated safety rules and got out of the car. A tiger, which was hidden, lunged at them.
One of the women died at the scene. Park officials arrived immediately and chased the tiger away. The other woman was taken to the hospital. The park was closed for two days.
A similar incident occurred in March 2009 when a Siberian tiger attacked a group of three tourists who decided to take a shortcut along the Great Wall of China through the park. One of them died.
