Argentina shows the way: a general strike for the country today.

247 - Strike led by CGT has participation from all trade union centers and social movements. Everything stops this Monday (25) in Argentina; Macri government under total pressure. The country is without transport and airports are not functioning. It is the third general strike against the economic policy of Mauricio Macri, which broke the country, and started at midnight. The main targets of the strike are the unbearable interest rates and the liquidation of the country's reserves, which led Argentina back to the IMF, the increase in public tariffs, wage cuts and unemployment. The peso has already lost 30% of its value since April. Polls indicate that, for the first time, if the elections were held today, Macri would lose to former president and senator Cristina Kirchner. According to a survey by the Public Opinion Group conducted in June, Cristina would beat Macri in elections by 36% to 30%.

A protest is planned that is expected to paralyze Buenos Aires at 11:00 AM at the Obelisk, located on 9 de Julio Avenue. The city is in the same time zone as Brasília. Airlines Latam and Aerolíneas Argentinas have cancelled flights to and from airports in Argentina due to the transport strike against President Mauricio Macri. There will be no domestic flights in Argentina. For Latam's international flights, flights from São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, and Recife to Buenos Aires, and from São Paulo to Rosario, Córdoba, and Tucumán have been cancelled.

Virtually all of Argentina has declared war on the Macri government. According to the Argentine newspaper Página 12, "Today's general strike includes, in addition to the CGT, the two CTAs, the Federal Current, the MASA and social movements... There will also be a work stoppage called by the Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Pyme Association, National Entrepreneurs for Argentine Development and the Productive Front. The UTA and the metro delegates, UPCN and ATE are also participating."
