Previously, Heger said that Bratislava could make a positive decision regarding the delivery of MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
"The government made a decision and unanimously approved an international agreement on the transfer of MiG-29 jets and Kup air defense systems to Ukraine," Heger was quoted as saying by the Slovak newspaper Pravda.
The Slovak president and the speaker of parliament agreed to the decision, according to Heger. The transfer makes the country the second NATO member to deliver fighter jets to Kyiv.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the supply of fighter jets by Poland and Slovakia to Ukraine will have no effect on Russia's special operation.
"No, absolutely not, I believe you don't even need to be a military expert to say that it can't have any effect. It seems that these countries are simply engaging in the disposal of old and unnecessary equipment in this way," Peskov said at a press conference. (With Sputnik).
