Altman: Maduro has demoralized Bolsonaro and Trump.

247 - Journalist and editor of the Opera Mundi Portal Breno Altman states that, by managing to shield his borders from the US invasion disguised as humanitarian aid, "Nicolás Maduro humiliated Juan Guaidó and demoralized Bolsonaro and Trump". In an analysis given to TV 247 this Monday (25), the journalist also assesses that "Maduro showed he has control of the country by protecting his territory and bringing a gigantic crowd to the streets". "Chavismo has shown that it is alive," he concludes.

Victory for Chavismo

Altman warns that "the siege of Venezuela is likely to intensify," but emphasizes Maduro's success. "He has made it clear that he controls the Armed Forces and also has enormous popular support," he assesses.

"If Juan Guaidó [who proclaimed himself interim president of Venezuela and the main US representative in the opposition to the government] managed to bring humanitarian aid into the country, it would be a clear sign that Maduro no longer controlled the borders and, consequently, the Armed Forces. What happened this Saturday was a real power struggle," Altman explains.

Understand

Last Saturday (23) was marked by the expressive victory of Nicolás Maduro, who managed to resist attempts at invasion by the United States, disguised as humanitarian aid, on the borders of Venezuela with Brazil and Colombia. The president announced the closure of the land border with Brazil and the temporary closure of three bridges on the border with Colombia.

Both the Brazilian and Colombian governments are aligned with the United States' practice of interference.
