Germany rules out cutting loan amount to Greece.

The German government sees no reason to grant a classic debt cut or any other measure that would reduce the loan amount to the crisis-stricken country. "At the moment and in principle, we see no reason to discuss this issue, as the Chancellor clearly stated in her press conference in Brussels – there is no support or basis for it," said spokesman Martin Jaeger.
