TASS - Destroying Ukraine as a state was never Russia's goal, but Moscow will not tolerate it becoming a hateful, Russophobic dictatorship, said Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya.

"Russia, as we have repeatedly emphasized, does not aim to eliminate Ukraine as a state, and never has. However, we cannot and will not tolerate the fact that a hateful, Russophobic, and anti-Christian dictatorship is emerging right on our doorstep," he said at Tuesday's UN Security Council session, which Russia initiated to discuss human rights in Ukraine.
