Twitter launches its Analytics
This tool will monitor web traffic based on links shared through social networks.
247 – Twitter announced on Tuesday, the 13th, the launch of an “Analytics” tool, which will help in monitoring internet traffic based on links shared on the social network. A strong influencer in generating website traffic, the microblogging service intends, with this new product, to present metrics that count the number of tweets and clicks on each page, as well as the daily, weekly, and monthly behavior of shares made from the “tweets” buttons hosted on web pages.
With 100 million active users sending 230 million tweets per day, the company is responsible for a significant portion of online sharing. Today, the Twitter button can be easily placed on any type of website, further contributing to content distribution in the virtual world. Currently, the button is on three million websites. The new, free tool will allow users to add more than one website address for analysis. The platform will soon be open to all users.
