247 – Fabiano Leitão, the “Trumpeter of Democracy,” followed the American delegation and played a “lullaby” for US Vice President Mike Pence. The protest is against the isolation of 51 Brazilian children on American soil: they were separated from their parents due to the tightening of immigration laws by the Donald Trump administration.

Leitão, in collaboration with Rodrigo Pilha, has been intervening in live segments of Jornal Nacional. He plays the classic riff from Lula's 1989 campaign, "Olê, olê, olê, olá, Lula, Lula," and has become known throughout the country as one of the icons of democratic resistance and the cause of free and direct elections.
