Toledo blames the "talking judge" for the leak of arrest warrants.

247 - Columnist José Roberto de Toledo, from “Estadão,” attributes the leak of Rodrigo Janot's arrest warrants against PMDB leaders to “talking judges.”

“It is now understood how crucial the operation was to leak the arrest warrants against the PMDB leaders from within the Supreme Court, thus preventing their detention. If the Supreme Court had summarily punished Renan Calheiros, Romero Jucá, and José Sarney, it would have validated Sergio Machado's testimony not only against the recorded trio and Eduardo Cunha, but against more than 20 politicians from whom the former president of Transpetro claims to have fulfilled requests for bribe payments. Among them – as was learned yesterday – is the interim president, Michel Temer,” he says.

“If Minister Teori Zavascki considered granting Prosecutor Rodrigo Janot's request to arrest any of the three, that possibility evaporated as soon as the story became public. If for no other reason, because the requests for search and seizure warrants supplementing the arrests became ineffective. There may be, and is, much to search for, but there is nothing left to seize. Whoever leaked the information did the accused a favor. It certainly wasn't the prosecutor. Nor Teori. Perhaps it was a talking judge. Who knows?” he adds.
