247 - Lawyer Marco Aurélio de Carvalho, who defends journalist Ricardo Melo, celebrated the decision by Minister Dias Toffoli of the Supreme Federal Court, which reinstated the journalist as president of Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC).
"The decision, although provisional, should be applauded and intensely celebrated. Today is a day of celebration!! Legal certainty and the current constitutional order have been restored," stated lawyer Marco Aurélio. "We believe that this decision will be upheld on its merits, preventing the implementation of an illegal, arbitrary, abusive, and truly scandalous measure by this interim government that has already done so much harm to the country," he added.
