Sherazade: "Reinaldo Azevedo is adorable"
One of the new faces of Brazilian neoconservatism, SBT presenter Rachel Sherazade, speaks about her choice to lean to the right; "I used to be on the left. I painted my face to protest Collor's removal. I voted for Lula until he was elected. I was disappointed with the PT," she states; radical, she even defends the positions of Congressman Marco Feliciano (PSC-SP).
247 - Journalist Rachel Sherazade, from SBT, has found a place in the spotlight among neoconservatives. With a radically right-wing discourse, she harshly criticizes the PT (Workers' Party) and defends positions like that of Congressman Marco Feliciano (PSC-SP), who, according to her, is a victim of religious persecution.
She explained her choices to journalist Mônica Bergamo. "I used to be left-wing. I painted my face to get Collor removed from office. I voted for Lula until he was elected. I became disillusioned with the PT," he says. "As I matured, I began to hold more right-wing positions than left-wing ones."
She spontaneously mentioned blogger Reinaldo Azevedo, who defended her in a controversy with former president Lula. "He's a sweetheart! He defended me in the Lula thing," she said.
Lula had referred to her. as "a journalist from SBT, in her early twenties" who makes criticisms "without basis." Azevedo defended him in a text that can be read here.
