"A president of the Republic is not expected to have a doctorate on the subject, but sufficient knowledge to avoid outsourcing the final decision-making," says Sakamoto. He adds that the pre-candidate "runs the risk, in this way, of being deceived, repeating what the moneyed interests want to hear."
