Bolsonaro's supporters on social media are spreading a video accusing the Workers' Party (PT) and Lula of causing recent fires in the country.

247 - Supported by President Jair Bolsonaro, YouTuber Bernardo Küster, leader of fundamentalist Catholics in the country and fierce opponent of Pope Francis and the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB), released a video in which he attributes nearly 20 recent fires in the country to the Workers' Party (PT). Bolsonaro's social media networks are spreading the video and directly accusing former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the PT, and social movements of causing fires in the country. Bolsonaro supporters are doing the same thing Hitler did in the famous Reichstag fire of 1933, when he falsely blamed the communists, initiating brutal political repression in Germany.

"There have been almost 20 large-scale fires in the last five days, not counting the National Museum fire. Considering the entire state of the left, all the promises made by the major leaders of social movements, what conclusion can we draw? Are they fulfilling their promises and setting fires to cause immense social instability and complicate the new government?" Küster stated. "It's not just Flamengo's training center, nor even Bangu's team, that caught fire, nor just the Belo Monte dam. A refinery in Espírito Santo caught fire. A store in Goiânia caught fire. A Santa Casa hospital in Mato Grosso also caught fire," he added.

The case was revealed this Friday by the Twitter account JornalismoWando, run by journalist João Filho. In the post, he recalled the case of another pro-Bolsonaro YouTuber, supported by the President of the Republic, who spread the false information that Josef Stalin had received the Nobel Peace Prize, in order to attack Lula's nomination for the award.
