Record prohibits stories featuring Daniela and Feliciano.

The network has issued an "informal" rule within the company, but one that applies to all presenters and programs; it is forbidden to comment on or "analyze" the recent "coming out" of the queen of axé music, who recently announced that she is married to journalist Malu Verçosa; the order is to forget about Daniela Mercury and Congressman Pastor Feliciano, who is considered homophobic, so as not to give space to the gay community on the network.

After CBN Salvador radio (Rede Globo) took off the air (without explanation, until then) a program presented by journalist Malu Verçosa, Record made an internal communication to the production team instructing them not to mention his wife, the queen of axé music, Daniela Mercury, under any circumstances.

According to a note in the Ooops! column on UOL, the directive to the broadcaster came from the Universal Church, which also vetoed stories featuring the president of the Human Rights and Minorities Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Congressman Marco Feliciano (PSC-SP), who is considered homophobic.
