Marina Mantega, daughter of the Finance Minister, shared on her Facebook page a text from a sports blog published in January of this year that claims Aécio Neves (PSDB), when governor of Minas Gerais, was hospitalized in Belo Horizonte to treat chemical dependency; after the repercussion, she deleted the message and said it was "unfortunate".
247 – Mariana, daughter of Finance Minister Guido Mantega, published a text on Facebook accusing presidential candidate Aécio Neves of drug abuse.
A sports blog post from São Paulo, dating from January of this year, claims that Aécio, then governor of Minas Gerais, was admitted to a hospital in Belo Horizonte to treat his addiction.
The post was bombarded by internet users and subsequently deleted by Mariana. “Yes, I posted it, and many people are posting about it. But if I could go back, I wouldn't have posted it. I was wrong,” she said in an interview with “Estado de S. Paulo” (read more). here).
One of those responsible for Aécio's social media campaign, Xico Grazino, criticized the episode: "She's the daughter of a minister. You can't play the innocent."
