247 - The national president of the PT, federal deputy Gleisi Hoffmann, went to social media this Friday (24) to protest against the Brazilian corporate media. According to her, several media outlets dedicated themselves at length to defaming President Lula's government with allegations of a supposed "fiscal crisis". She demanded the same attitude from the press towards the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Unlike Lula, Trump admitted that he would seek to interfere in the US central bank and also in oil prices. According to the leader, the corporate press does not allow the government to govern the country in peace.

"I eagerly await the editorials in the Brazilian media criticizing Donald Trump for demanding that the US Federal Reserve lower interest rates and that producing countries lower oil prices. For far less, they crucified President Lula, accusing him of causing instability when he criticized Brazil's indecent interest rates and calling him an interventionist for adjusting fuel prices to Brazilian standards. Will they now talk about a fiscal crisis in the US and let our president govern in peace?", Gleisi wrote on the X platform.

Trump said on Thursday (23) that he wants the Federal Reserve, the US central bank, to cut interest rates. On Friday (24), he reiterated his call for OPEC to reduce oil prices to harm the finances of oil-rich Russia and help end the war in Ukraine.
