"The horror was an illegitimate, cowardly, usurping, emasculated government, personified in Michel Temer. His behavior was vile, pusillanimous, and opportunistic throughout the two weeks of Rio 2016. It began at the opening ceremony, when Temer devised a scheme—a failed one, by the way—to avoid being booed. He seemed not like a statesman, which he never was, but like a cowering individual, a fugitive afraid of his own shadow," he says.
"The despicable attitude persisted throughout the competition. On Twitter, Temer claimed credit for the football victory."
