Nassif questions the media's "folly" regarding Serra.

A journalist criticizes the shielding of a member of the PSDB party in the Alstom and ISS mafia cases, "even after two lieutenants of the Serra scheme came under fire: Andrea Matarazzo and the former Secretary of Finance of the municipality, Mauro Ricardo"; "When the dam bursts, how will they explain themselves to their readers?"

247 – After Paulo Nogueira, it's Luis Nassif's turn to criticize the media's shielding of José Serra (PSDB) in the Alstom and ISS mafia scandals. "I don't know how long the mainstream media will continue this charade of ignoring Serra's history," he says. Read the article published in [website/publication name]. GGN newspaper:

The march of media folly with Serra.

Moment 1 - The Asltom and the municipal tax inspector mafia cases explode. Two lieutenants of the Serra scheme come under fire: Andrea Matarazzo and the former municipal Finance Secretary, Mauro Ricardo. The case worsens when it is discovered that the municipal comptroller's office opened an investigation against the mafia, which Mauro Ricardo shelved, claiming that the anonymous complaints lacked evidence. The fire intensifies.

Moment 2 - cornered, Serra turns yellow and gives an interview to Folha, momentarily interrupting the rhetoric of radicalization. He shows himself to be the most agreeable and democratic of Brazilians and the most supportive of the PSDB members, even willing to support Aécio Neves.

Moment 3 - here, the media coverage corrects the initial indiscretion and, despite Mauro Ricardo having already publicly admitted to being responsible for shelving the investigations, only wiretaps in which the accused mentions Kassab are released. And the counter-fire averts the conflagration that threatened to spread over the Serra scheme.

Moment 4 - sensing that once again the media coverage is managing to divert attention from him, Serra regains his aggressiveness and again accuses the PSDB of being lenient as the opposition. Not even a week has passed since the act of contrition.

I don't know how long the mainstream media will continue this charade of ignoring Serra's history. There's a body of investigations that has gained its own momentum and a significant amount of information available about Serra's scheme since his time as Secretary of Planning under Montoro.

It's only a matter of time before the armor crumbles.

When the dam bursts, how will they explain themselves to their readers?
