247 - In an article, Reinaldo Azevedo lashed out at fellow Folha de S. Paulo columnist Vladimir Safatle.
He says that the potential PSOL candidate for governor of São Paulo lied when he accused the police, in his Tuesday column, of being responsible for the deaths of four protesters: Cleonice Vieira de Moraes, Douglas Henrique de Oliveira, Luiz Felipe Aniceto de Almeida, and Valdinete Rodrigues Pereira.
Azevedo says that Vladimir seems to think that the uniform strips the military police of their humanity: "His indignation is selective." "According to him, they are using the 'unfortunate death of someone' to 'criminalize the revolt of Brazilian society.' PSOL and the 'black blocs' are not 'Brazilian society.' Furthermore, in a democratic order, it is foolish to claim that 'revolt' is being criminalized," he said.
