Moro should resign to save his reputation, says Folha columnist.

"When he can't even appoint a substitute for a relatively obscure council, it's a sign that independence, if it ever existed, is gone. Perhaps it's time for him to leave as well, to preserve his reputation," writes columnist Hélio Schwartsman in Folha.

247 - Columnist Hélio Schwartsman, from Folha de São Paulo, says that Sérgio Moro, who withdrew his invitation for Ilona Szabó to a third-tier position at the behest of his boss Jair Bolsonaro, should resign. "As for Moro, by yielding to pressure from the hardline Bolsonaro supporters, he reveals that he is far from being the minister who would have full powers to end corruption. I even understand that he didn't go after Flávio Bolsonaro like a pitbull in the first week of the government. I also think it's reasonable that he divided his package of legislative measures. Politics, after all, is done through negotiations," he says.

"But when he can't even appoint a substitute for a relatively obscure council, it's a sign that independence, if it ever existed, is gone. Perhaps it's time for him to leave as well, to preserve his reputation," he states in his column. Moro diminishes himself..
