Morais says Lula is Janot's next target.
According to writer Fernando Morais, "the request for the arrest of Sarney, Cunha, Renan, and Jucá by Attorney General Rodrigo Janot may be the penultimate piece of the coup puzzle," which "will only be completed with the arrest and/or disqualification of Lula from running in the next elections – whether in 2018 or ninety days from now"; "Something tells me that, after hammering the nail, Janot will point his arquebus at Luiz Inácio," predicts the journalist.

Keep an eye on Janot.
The request for the arrest of Sarney, Cunha, Renan, and Jucá by Attorney General Rodrigo Janot may be the penultimate piece of the coup puzzle. I have been saying here, insistently, that the coup will only be complete with the arrest and/or disqualification of Lula from running in the next elections – whether in 2018 or in ninety days. Unless, of course, someone imagines that the right wing (media + sectors of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Federal Police, and the Judiciary + national plutocracy) made this monumental mess to hand the presidency of the republic to Lula on a silver platter. My political instincts aren't the best, but something tells me that, after hammering the nail, Janot will point his arquebus at Luís Inácio. Just in case, watch out!
