Miriam also stated that “the demonstrations in which the president participates defend crimes. They call for the closure of Congress and the Supreme Court and military intervention. His presence signifies support. The acts are being investigated by the Attorney General's Office. In short, Bolsonaro uses public money, symbols of the Armed Forces and the Military Police, and the power of the Presidency to encourage demonstrations against democracy, keep his supporters motivated, and conduct an election campaign outside of his designated timeframe.”
