Prosecutors aim to trace suspicious payments in multi-million dollar advertising deals between the federal government and shell companies linked to politicians.
Among the production companies under investigation is Conspiração Filmes, which belongs to Andrucha Waddington, husband of Fernanda Torres.
Conspiração Filmes, one of the main content producers for Globo and channels like GNT, maintained contracts with two shell companies controlled by former congressman André Vargas and his brother (LSI Solução e Serviços Empresariais and Limiar Consultoria e Assessoria em Comunicação). Vargas was arrested this Friday in a new phase of Lava Jato.
