Josias on Lula: "Why wait another four years?"

"Here's the question that won't go away," the columnist concludes; he says the party is launching Lula-2018, but that Lula-now "makes more sense"; "An internal poll would reveal that 101% of PT supporters prefer Lula to Dilma. The law authorizes the change. As if that weren't enough, the current situation is forcing the PT to remove its star player from the bench," says Josias de Souza.

247 - The PT (Workers' Party) is launching Lula-2018, but Lula-now "makes more sense," writes columnist Josias de Souza on his blog on UOL. "Why wait another four years? That's the question that won't go away," says the journalist.read here (the full text).

He says that "an internal poll would reveal that 101% of PT supporters prefer Lula to Dilma. The law authorizes the change. As if that weren't enough, the current situation compels the PT to remove its star player from the bench."

"It is said that Lula rejects the possibility of an immediate candidacy. 'In the future, who knows?', he usually replies. It's a shame. With Lula's presence, the game would make more sense, since the problems that threaten Dilma's re-election originated during his government," Josias adds.

The columnist notes that this week's featured individual will be Paulo Roberto Costa, former director of Petrobras, who has been implicating parliamentarians, ministers, and governors following a plea bargain agreement with the Justice system. According to Josias, Dilma "will slip on oil" when called upon to explain the case. "Lula would represent the PT better in these matters than Dilma," he says.
